Hauptsächlich interessiert war ich an Hannah's Kindheit, über welche bis jetzt nur sehr wenig bekannt war. Ich wurde jedoch über die Erzählungen ihrer Kindheit hinaus voll in Hannah's Welt eingesogen.Ihr Schreibstil macht das Lesen zum Abenteuer. Habe mich selten so über die sprachliche Exzellenz einer Autorin gefreut. Hatte mir das ehrlich gesagt, obwohl Hannah Hart auch im persönlichen Gespräch sehr sprachgewandt ist, so nicht erwartet.Ein paar mal musste ich das Buch zwar zur Seite legen, um das Gelesene kurz verdauen zu können, alles in allem hatte ich das Buch in wenigen Stunden zu Ende gelesen.Absolut empfehlenswert für jeden, den Hannah Hart fasziniert. It's rare for me to get this excited about someone's writing style. I did, despite Hannah being very eloquent in person as well, not expect anything like this.I did have to put the book down a few times to take a second to breathe, because there is a decent amount of heavy stuff (possibly triggering material for some) in the book, overall I finished it in a few hours though.I definitely recommend the book to any Hannah Hart fan. For people who have never heard of her, this might be a somewhat intense way to get to know her but I'd recommend it regardless, as it is a wonderful book.

Hannah Hart tells a story worth reading. It is interesting to read about her origins, family, relationships and other factors that influenced her life and life decisions. The author has a funny and very honest way of writing, making the book easy and entertaining to read. I couldn't stop reading it once I was involved in the stories. The book also gives you a lot to think about and encourages to reflect on yourself and your life. All in all, it didn't only entertain me and let me burst out laughing - it changed my life on a deep level.It may be important to mention that I was sceptical at first and did not expect it to be that good. I thought it might be a little superficial or too focused on the YouTube aspect. It wasn't! Auch wer Hannah Hart nicht schon von Youtube kannte, wird Gefallen an der Geschichte ihres Lebens finden. Sie zeigt uns offen und ehrlich ihre verletzliche Seite und macht Mut. Man kann alles schaffen - wenn man "Hart" dafür arbeitet ;)

I actually preordered her book but it took me quite a while to start with it.But then I couldn't really put it away after I started reading. She manages to pull you into her world and share so many stories with you.Prepare to laugh, smile and cry! :)

Sehr schönes Buch. Hatte aufgrund der doch eher komischen Seiten, die von Hannah Hart bekannt sind, nicht mit so viel Tiefgang gerechnet. Bin positiv überrascht und kann das Buch uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Great book, nice to read! Opens a lot of insights not only into baboons social life. Having read the book leaves me with a smile on my face in situations where I would have got angry or frustratet before.

This is a very good book. We have seen many of Mr. Sapolsky's lectures on U Tube and so it was interesting to know more about him.

Apart from the many baboon stories, showing interesting social similarities to human societies in many aspects, Robert Sapolsky also manages to convey an authentic picture of Kenia and other african countries. With tongue-in-cheek humour, and an astonishing frankness the author keeps you entertained and riveted to the pages. This book sparked my interest in primatology, I am going to read other books on the subject now!

Alex Espinoza is the author of the novels The Five Acts of Diego Leónand Still Water Saints, a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Selection. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times Magazine, NPR, Salon, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Virginia Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. His awards include a 2014 Fellowship in Prose from the National Endowment for the Arts and a 2014 American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation for The Five Acts of Diego León. He lives in Los Angeles.
